The Muslim Culture of Death

The story title of the
official story is “Culture of death? Palestinian girl's murder highlights
growing number of “honor killings.”
A few days ago a good friend of mine, Michael Burke, the Web Master of the Biblical Universalist wrote to
me about the article. I read it and
supposed that you too would like to read about the harsh barbaric existence of
many of the Palestinian Muslims.
The article by Soraya Sarhaddi Nelson is so
heart wrenching that I failed to immediately publish this review. I must admit that I really do not understand
the Muslim way of life.
Ms. Nelson’s article tells about a young Muslim girl
who was raped and impregnated by her brothers.
Even in
The girl’s loss of virginity and subsequent pregnancy
became a matter of family honor. The
family neighbors and friend began to shun them due to the young girl being
raped by her brothers. Apparently
Palestinian society is very unforgiving.
Finally, this young girl who had been ravaged by her
family was killed---by her mother! Her loving
Palestinian mother covered her head with a bag, slit her wrists, and stuck a
stick into her head.
That girl was the victim of
an unforgiving religion. Her mother is
free pending resolution of the charges against her. The brothers are in
prison. But, the girl is dead!
The article warns, “Police in Israel investigated at least 18 honor killings in the
past three years.
“Palestinian
police reported 31 cases in 2002 — up from five during the first half of 1999 -
the last time such incidents were counted before the current Palestinian
uprising began, according to the center's study.
“But the
number of killings is likely higher, given that Palestinian police investigate
only crimes that have been reported, said Yousef Tarifi, the Ramallah
prosecutor assigned to Qaoud's case. Shalhoub-Kevorkian says her past research showed the likely
number to be 15 times higher than the number of reported cases.”
It is difficult for us to comprehend what makes
Muslims live in such a barbaric fashion, but they do it.
It seems that among Muslims human life is extremely cheap.
If you are a Muslim, my point is this,
even though you may not believe it, Christ Jesus went to the cross and died to
take away your sins. He was raised to
life the third day to show you that in Him, and Him alone, there is life. Come
now. Acknowledge Him as Lord of your life and you will gain true life. He loves you!
