The Fate of
the Lost
Let’s discuss something,
which I must admit is beyond me to fully understand.
The Church of Jesus Christ is
separated into many sections by one major theme!
That theme is the fate of the
lost!
Some believe in eternal
torment, while others believe in annihilation, and still others believe in what
I call the Systematic Reconciliation of all.
The fate of the lost is a
very volatile subject. The three views
mentioned above are all related to just a single theme, the fate of the lost.
Here is what I do not
comprehend: How does the fate of the
lost affect the fate of the saved?
Many supposed Christians
believe that all “faiths” are valid.
However, the Bible tells us
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that none may come to the Father
except through Him.
That is the primary theme of
the New Testament!
It cannot be overemphasized!
All salvation, all
reconciliation to the Father must come about by way of the Son!
Without His sacrifice,
salvation does not exist!
So, how does the fate of the
lost affect the fate of the saved?
The Spiritual fact is that it
does not!
Instead of fighting,
debating, arguing over the fate of the lost, why aren’t we engaged in an
extreme and united effort to tell the world of His loving sacrifice for us?
Many teach one fate of the
lost or another!
They may be teaching a
limited version of the Unlimited Christ!
No matter which fate of the
lost you bring to the table, are you willing to admit that we are saved by
grace through faith in/of Christ Jesus?
Your salvation does not
depend on your personal view of the fate of the lost!
Many read “redemption” and
mentally insert “salvation.”
Redemption (Gr. apolytrōsis-ἀπολύτρωσις)
is not salvation (Gr. sōtēria-σωτηρία)!
Redemption is given through
Christ’s sacrifice on the cross!
Eph 1:7 In
whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according
to the riches of his grace;
Salvation comes through our
Spirit-led confession that Jesus is Lord!
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt
be saved.
We should be taught the
differences and rejoice in them!
Are you focused on Hell, the
Lake of Fire, or the joys given to us by the risen Savior Christ Jesus?
