Assurance
Far too many Christians live
their lives in dire fear of losing salvation!
Some within Christianity are
paranoid when it comes to supposed lose of salvation!
Will they stumble and fall
into eternal torment? Or, will they rise
to meet their Savior in the air at His second coming?
The biblical fact is that
Christ offers us complete assurance of His loving care!
And yet, many “supposed”
preachers of the Gospel attempt to abuse God’s children by trying to keep them
in the bondage of fear!
I fully realize that many of
the false preachers are just parrots in the pulpits, giving out the same
religious garbage that they have taken in.
One of the verses that some
quote in their attempt to deny assurance is:
Rev 3:5 He
who overcomes shall be
clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of
Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
That assurance is given to,
“He who overcomes!”
But, who are those who
overcome?
We overcome because Christ
Jesus overcame!
Did you know that all
Christians are baptized into Christ Jesus?
Gal 3:27 For
as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
In the interest of full disclosure,
I must tell you that all attending Church, or are even all those who are
members of certain denominational groups are not Christians!
Only those who have been
baptized into Christ are saved! They are
the called and chosen!
Salvation is entirely
dependent on the calling and choosing of God the Father, through the power of
the Holy Spirit!
John 6:37 All
that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by
no means cast out.
If Christ promises never to
cast us out, how can we doubt His loving care?
And yet, that (the casting
out of the saved) is what many false preachers tell us!
They tell us that if we walk
away from Christ, we are cast out!
Heb 13:5b "I will never leave you nor forsake
you."
Question: How does anyone
walk away from One who will not walk away from him/her?
As Christians, we have been
baptized into Christ’s death and resurrection.
Romans 6:5
For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness
of His resurrection,
Christ lives within His
called and chosen!
Gal 2:20 I
have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life
which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and
gave Himself for me.
For all Christians, Christ
within is a here and now reality!
At this very moment, Christ
Jesus is seated with the Father on the throne!
And we are with Him!
Eph 1:20
which He [God the Father] worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and
seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
How do we walk away from One
who lives within us?
We are overcomers, sons of
God, only because Christ overcame!
We were baptized into Christ!
Christ overcame!
Therefore, in Him, we
overcome!
John 1:12 But
as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God,
to those who believe in His name:
Our salvation does not depend
on us or our “works!
Titus 3:5a
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He
saved us,
Eph 2:8-9
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith,
and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast
The fact is what once you’re
saved, you’re saved!
Romans 11:29
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
