Eventually
On this web site, you will
notice two dominant themes. One is Systematic Reconciliation and the other is
“The Ultimate Reconciliation of All” (TURA).
Those teachings were
formulated a continent apart at approximately the same time. There is not much, if any basic difference in
the two.
As a matter of historical
record, George F. Howe was on the west coast in
How do Systematic
Reconciliation and TURA differ from mainstream theology?
The basic differences between
SR/TURA and mainstream teachings may be summed up in one word. That word is
“eventually.”
Mainstream Christian theology
teaches that God punishes most with an “eternal torment.” I feel that to be impossible.
Since the torment being
discussed has a beginning, it cannot be “eternal.” Oh, it will happen, but it will not be
eternal.
That is a simply stated,
straight-forward fact!
Another fact that has become
truth to me is that the Bible never speaks of an eternal torment. Never!
If you study the Greek text that truth becomes clearer.
Does Systematic
Reconciliation teach anything about the
If the Bible teaches that
there is a
Rev 21:8 But
the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and
whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their
part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second
death.
Do I mean to say that someone
who believes in Systematic Reconciliation can also believe that people will be
put into the
Absolutely!
The first reason they can
believe that is because the Bible says it will happen!
The second reason is that the
Within mainstream theology
there is a twisted teaching that says, God loves the world, but is willing to
destroy most of the world He created because those known as “lost” will not
admit that Christ Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, the way, the Truth, and
the Life.
It is my view that the
confession “Jesus Christ as Lord” is mandatory
for all!
When the Bible tells us that
none may come to the Father except through Christ Jesus, I believe it!
The biblical fact is that some
will go into the
The Bible repeatedly tells us
that God’s mercy endures forever. The Bible tells us that all flesh will come to God (Ps. 65:2). The Bible tells us that all nations shall come and worship before God (Ps.
86:9). The Bible tells us the Lord is
good to all (Ps. 145:9). The Bible tells us that God shall swallow up
death forever (Is. 25:8). And, it tells us so much more about God’s love for
His creation.
The fact of the
John 6:40, 44
40 And this is the will of
him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may
have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
44 No man can come to me,
except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at (Gr.
en-en) the last day.
Many attempt to interpret
those verses as teaching one thing or another, but the obvious truth is that
all who have been given to Christ shall come to Him and Christ Jesus will raise
them up, resurrect them at/in the last day.
There is another fact that
cannot be ignored.
Matt 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in
heaven and in earth.
Do you believe that part of
the Bible?
I do!
If someone is committed to
the
It is at that point that the
Father will show His loving mercy and raise that person up to life.
There is no such thing as a
resurrection to death. How can a person who is already dead be resurrected to
death. That is illogical---totally
illogical, and yet it is taught in Churches world-wide and has been for
centuries.
Long before Christ came to
earth as a small child, when he was with the Father in heaven prior to His incarnation,
the Father prepared for the moment when He would ask the seemingly impossible.
Ps 2:8 Ask
of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the
uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
On the cross, Christ looked
down on a lost and dying humanity and said, “Father, forgive them; for they
know not what they do” (Luke 23:34).
God the Son never asked for
that which was outside of the plan of God the Father.
At that point something
wonderful and inexplicable happened.
Isa 53:6b
the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Has anybody ever explained
that to you?
Do you realize that Christ
Jesus took responsibility for our sins?
In that request from the
cross, Jesus fulfilled the promise God made through John the baptizer that He,
Christ Jesus, would be the lamb that would take away the sin of the world (John
1:29b).
It was at the time of that
pain-filled request that Christ Jesus took upon Himself the sins of the world
by becoming the propitiation, or substitutionary sacrifice for all the sins of
all the world (1 John 2:2).
Later, when He arose from
that cold grave, victorious over death and sin, Christ Jesus, God the Son
officially became the Savior of the world (1 John 4:14).
The crucifixion and resurrection
of Christ Jesus is far more than just a benign event in the march of history.
His resurrection proves
conclusively that God’s mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13).
Christ Jesus took upon
Himself the responsibility for our sins, and in fact for the sins of the world,
and yet He has risen and indeed sits at the right hand of the Father (Romans
8:34).
Through the work of Christ
Jesus
Eventually
we too will be raised to
life. and will joyfully and wonderfully worship Him who made us. Then we will understand.
Rom 11:36
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for
ever. Amen.
It is due to Jesus’
crucifixion and resurrection that God the Father is making all things new (Rev.
21:3).
The response to Christ’s
request for the forgiveness of mankind at the point of crucifixion is not now
evident, but
Eventually
all shall come to Christ, and
through Him they shall be reconciled to their Creator.
You can serve Him now or
serve Him later, but
Eventually
you all will serve Him.
