December 22, 2012
Perhaps you noticed the title! We are being told
that the world will end on December 21, 2012! That date is supposedly found in
the Mayan calendar!
Many people are currently suffering from collective anxiety
due to the Mayan calendar and/or the writings of Nostradamus!
But, hold on just a moment!
Is any of that true?
Absolutely not!
When you wake up on the morning of December 22,
2012, you will find that you have been the victim of a con job greater than
Bernie Madoff pulled off!
You may get up and go to IHOP or Denny’s, a
Synagogue, or if you are a Sabbaterian Christian you may go to Church. Some of you may watch the game on TV.
Some may die of fright worrying about the end of the
world due to fear of a planetary alignment within the galaxy.
But, let’s think about it for a few moments!
I can tell you explicitly without fear of
contradiction that the world will not end and Christ will not return on
December 21st!
The heathen may wail and moan, but the world will go
on!
Do you recall the spiritual conflict of Jan. 1,
2000?
Many taught that Christ would return on that
date. On this site I said, “No way!”
Look around!
See what happened! Nothing extraordinary happened!
Un-regenerated humanity looks at things from a
different perspective than we do as Christians!
How can I be so certain about such a seeming
catastrophe?
I am a believer in the return of Christ Jesus!
I believe in what the Bible says!
This world shall end one day, but that happening is
at least a millennia away!
The world is now going through a time of great
political unrest!
America was born in a period of political unrest!
Most of America is looking at the Islamic nations!
But, God says, “And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall
smite and heal it:” (Isaiah 19:22a)
Egypt is now going through great
internal strife!
Isaiah
19:2 And I will set the Egyptians
against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one
against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against
kingdom.
Political unrest has hit all nations, and yet the
world is still here!
Oh, there shall be a great change someday, but not
on December 21, 2012!
Someday all shall see great change!
Rev
21:1 And I saw a new
heaven and a new earth: for the first
heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was
no more sea.
Those who trust in the predictions of Nostradamus,
the Mayan calendar, or any other non-biblical source shall be greatly
disappointed!
Do you recall the “88 reasons Christ will return in
1988” theory?
What happened?
Nothing!
Back in the 1840’s a man taught that Christ would
return on a certain date. His followers sold all they had and went out to meet
Christ on that date.
After that date, they swallowed their pride, went
back to town, and formed what became the Seventh Day Adventist organization!
When some teach a certain date for the end of the
world or the return of Christ, please wait and see!
If a specific date is predicted, I will tell you
what date Christ will NOT
return!
However, will this world eventually end?
Yes!
Rev
21:1-2
1 And I saw a new heaven and a
new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there
was no more sea.
2 And
I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down
from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
The new heaven and new earth will
replace the old at least a millennium after the return of Christ Jesus! That is
quite a distance from today!
If
you are a true Christian and not one of the pretenders, you are safe no matter
what happens or when it happens.
Jesus
of Nazareth, God the Son, is your Lord, Savior, and Protector! Your safety is
in what He did for you!
Fear
not! Instead, rejoice in Him!
Many
things may happen on December 21, 2012, BUT
the end of the world is NOT
one of those things!
