Commonsense Consummation

As Christians we are taught to look forward to the return of Christ. However, many do not understand the full consequence of the consummation of the ages.

Let’s look at it!

In our study, all verses will come from the New King James Version. (NKJV) Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson, Inc. Used by permission. All rights reserved.

John 12:32 "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself."

Most Christians do not believe that verse, because it flies in the face of tradition.

Romans 8:19-20
19    For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
20    For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;

It was not just mankind that fell victim to the sinful actions of our ancestors. All creation became subject to the reality of the fall.  And, all creation will be restored in the consummation!

Psalm 148
1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the heights!
2 Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts!
3 Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you stars of light!
4 Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, and you waters above the heavens!
5 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He commanded and they were created.
6 He also established them forever and ever; he made a decree which shall not pass away.
7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all the depths;
8 Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
9 Mountains and all hills; fruitful trees and all cedars;
10 Beasts and all cattle; creeping things and flying fowl;
11 Kings of the earth and all peoples; princes and all judges of the earth;
12 Both young men and maidens; old men and children.
13 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
14 And He has exalted the horn of His people, the praise of all His saints-- of the children of Israel, a people near to Him. Praise the LORD!

Commonsense Consummation is a look at the actual consummation of the ages.

Why would all creation praise God?

As a matter of tradition, most Christians are taught most of mankind will burn in hell, the lake of Fire forever end ever (amen).

So, is all mankind is part of creation, and all creation shall praise God, why?

Is it because most of mankind is being tormented for eternity?

What a demented thought!

Why would most preach such an end?

Simple!  They desire revenge more than forgiveness!

Now, I must admit that such a view (desiring forgiveness) is difficult.

Matt 5:44a "But I say to you, love your enemies,…

Does God expect more from us than He is willing to do?

The answer is no!

Luke 23:34 Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." And they divided His garments and cast lots.

Did Christ look down from the cross and ask something that he knew would not be granted?

That is the majority teaching, but is it true?

Christ asked forgiveness for those who nailed Him to the cross.  Did He ask more than the Father was willing to give?

Will all of creation praise God for “eternal” torment?

Commonsense is not anti-Christian, but it is lacking in some cases.

I am not demeaning those who teach that there is a hell or Lake of Fire, but when carried to a commonsense consummation there is only one conclusion.

Full restoration or reconciliation is the only commonsense conclusion.

Now, here is the 64,000 dollar question.

Do you believe it?

But doesn’t the Bible say, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

Yes it does!

Look at that verse and search for the word “whenever.”  It is not to be found.

No matter where you search the New Testament, “whenever” is never connected with reconciliation to God!  In all cases, those who acknowledge Christ are reconciled to the Father!  “Whenever” is in the hands of the Father!

If you have not now, you shall one day acknowledge, Jesus is Lord!

Romans 10:13 For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Rom 14:11 For it is written: "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God."

Every knee shall bow to God the Father and shall confess, “Jesus is Lord!”

Ps 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
